Even more human, even more sensitive... I dig into my emotions in this serie of female busts.
I wanted the glaze to fade from a deep white to a transparency and almost an absence of it. This allows the bone structure to be seen through the glaze and enhance this artwork sensitivity.
States of Soul is a serie of porcelain sculptures representing female busts and, of course, my current innerbeing. This one is the first in the series, combining black and white porcelain to express my feelings, as well as all those recurring thoughts that haunt us all.
I'm always wondering how things and people
that approach me seem to cling on me,
come to life and create a new reality.
